Our film The Same Eyes As Yours received two awards at the Festival International du Film sur l’Art (FIFA):
This double recognition highlights the strength and sensitivity of the work, as well as the remarkable contribution of the entire artistic team.
Jury statement:
“A striking work in which a woman comes to see everyday life through the eyes of her deceased father […] The direction perfectly supports this approach, and the outstanding cinematography reveals a deep sensitivity to the subject. […] Overall, the production stands as a masterpiece.”
We are delighted to announce the upcoming premiere of Ma Saudade, a
new choreographic work by Anne Plamondon, presented by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens as part of the double bill Blue Hour.
From April 23 to 26, 2026, at Théâtre Maisonneuve, this program brings together creations by Anne Plamondon and Vanesa Garcia-Ribala Montoya.
Blue Hour is that suspended moment between day and night, when
the sky is veiled in a diaphanous blue—serves as the guiding thread of this double bill. A fragile in-between, where we hover between what was and what will be, between birth and loss. Each
choreographer explores, in her own way, the nuances of time, space, and identity.
In Ma Saudade, Anne Plamondon draws on a formative period of her life in Lisbon to evoke a bittersweet melancholy—a sense of absence infused with luminous nostalgia. Carried by a mesmerizing electronic score, the work reveals fragments of memory through a choreographic language that is both minimal and deeply expressive.
